The gasq Automotive Tester Board consists of several experts from car manufacturers and suppliers in the field of Automotive. The syllabus has been developed lead-managed by Dr. Hendrik Dettmering, who is expert in the field of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering. The syllabus has been designed on the specific needs of the automotive industry, where software testers need to know not only the general norms in the field of software testing but also need to know specific automotive standards.
Because of that the Certified Automotive Tester certification does not only test the ISTQB standard but also these specific automotive norms and standards and follows by that the market's need of car manufacturers and suppliers. The certification itself is complementary to the internationally leading ISTQB Certified Tester standard. This specialization has been requested more and more during the last years and has been now brought into reality by the gasq Automotive Tester Board. Nevertheless the Board strongly recommends to also having an ISTQB Certified Tester certification.
