Assessor Certification

The assessor certification program is divided into 3 variants: Provisional Assessor, Assessor and Principal AssessorApprenticeship
Applicants for certification as assessors have to have completed an apprenticeship or graduated from college/university or must be in possession of an academic title.

Training
All applicants must have attended an accredited assessor training program no more than 3 years prior to submitting their application.

Professional and assessment experience
Provisional Assessor
with college/university degree/completed apprenticeship: 4  years full time, 2 of which must have been in an assignment within the relevant process context
with academic title: 2 years full time employment, 1 of which must have been in a assignment within the relevant process context
Assessment experience: None

Assessor
with college/university degree/completed apprenticeship: 6  years full time, 4 of which must have been in an assignment within the relevant process context
with academic title: 4 years full time employment, 3 of which must have been in a assignment within the relevant process context
Assessment experience: Minimum 120 hours, at least 4 assessments during the past 3 years, at least 2 of them as  team leader

Principal Assessor
with college/university degree/completed apprenticeship: 6  years in the relevant process context
with academic title: 4 years in the relevant process context
Assessment experience: Minimum 240 hours, at least 8 assessments during the past 3 years, at least 4 of them as team leader
